Thank You

Thank you for your support!

The SSWSC Foundation continues to grow by connecting our rich history with our exciting future thanks to the support we receive from people like you.   This year, we held the third annual Bringing Down the House Concert, Wine Festivus and “All In!” Giving Together fundraisers benefiting the athletes through increased scholarship funding and growing our endowment.

Donors like Steven and Karen Speer and Steve and Pam Williams have continued to give to the club over the years as their way of expressing what the SSWSC means to them, our community and the athletes participating in our training and youth development programs.

We invite you to become a Legacy Society Member to ensure the SSWSC legacy continues for future generations.  Please visit our website to learn about the many ways to establish a planned gift for the SSWSC Foundation through estate planning, bequests or designating the club as a beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance policy.

Our thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who make it possible to orchestrate events for both the club and the foundation.  Their efforts make a difference and their service is greatly appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who supports the SSWSC as your contributions are invaluable.

With gratitude,

Ellen Campbell, Director of Development

"The opportunity to be part of a program rich in tradition and values that impacts such a large part of the children in our community is an honor. We have personally watched our children and their friends grow into adulthood and carry those values and drive with them.  We want to continue to provide those opportunities to all the children in the region."

“What I like most about volunteering for the SSWSC is that I get to use my past experience and knowledge.  I enjoy getting in the trenches and working with my hands which keeps me young.  I would encourage others to volunteer.  I would say to them if they aren’t tied to a particular sport just go try a few of them and see what you like to do.  Meet the coaches and the people and you will find your spot.”

“We support the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club because it is one more way we can assure that these young athletes have the skills and character to become the good citizens and good parents our future requires.  Strong community support of the SSWSC provides a distinct message to the kids that they are important.  We respect their efforts, commitment and teamwork."
